The Family Resource Center Assistant supports the FRC Manager in the daily operations including assisting customers with library resources and information requests, coordinating resource requests, maintaining electronic information access, as well as providing library office administration. Previous experience in customer service, office management, and computer skills required. Successful candidate will demonstrate ability to seek out information from a variety of sources, including on-line and print. The qualified candidate must work both independently and collaboratively in a changing environment, be capable of independent decision-making, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Minimum Quals: Two years of post high school education in education, library science, communications, social work or related human services field
HS Diploma/GED and 2 years experience in education, library science, communications, social work or human services. Experience working with children in an educational or other setting. Previous experience in customer service or clerical work and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic library resources
Preferred Quals: BA degree in Library Science, Education, Social Services or related field and 1-3 years of library experience with increasing responsibilities.
