Duties and Responsibilities

There are the following duties and responsibilities which have to be fulfilled by a construction superintendent:
The duty is to ensure that both the health and safety project plans are implemented properly.
He or she needs to monitor the functions on site to oversee all the construction process.
He or she has to prepare the budget is followed in terms of purchases and wages
It will be needed to organize the tasks to ensure that they are performing as required.
He or she needs to maintain the records the total costs for materials bought and payments for work done
It will be needed to do the general inspection of the workers and their performance and safety.
He or she needs to ensure about the safety rules and regulations are met properly.
He or she has to maintain the coordination with the government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety.
He or she has to supervise the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver.
It will be needed to do the work of documentation as well such as writing project progress records in liaison with the foreman.

Skills and Specifications

There are the following skills and specifications required in a person to do the job:
The person needs to have the ability to supervise the team.
He or she should be able to schedule and perform multi tasking work.
He or she should have required knowledge in building and construction and related sector.
He or she should have problem solving skills and should be a good problem solver
The person needs to be a computer literate and should have basic computer knowledge.

Education and Qualifications

The educational qualification is not much required. The person should have a High School Diploma to do the job.
