The Production Scheduler schedules production and expedites the flow of materials for assigned product orders through fabrication and assembly to ensure scheduled delivery dates and maximum efficiency are met. This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory level of standard parts and issues work orders or generates intercompany orders to replenish stock as required, generation of work orders and maintaining a record of order status through various phases of production. The Production Scheduler maintains a file of Fab and Assembly Department drawings; distributes updated drawings as needed. Additional duties include assisting with coordination and completion of physical inventory. This person works independently and as part of an overall team to expedite multiple projects in order to meet established production deadlines.
One to three years of direct production scheduling experience and/or a solid base of Chief Building product knowledge typically gained through three to five years company experience. Ability to operate a computer and necessary software, along with general office equipment. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, an aptitude for customer service, above average organizational skills and be able to adapt to a fast changing business environment.
