This position in ITS Applications will be an integral member of the CIS Replacement project team specializing in, and providing the team with, technical expertise for the Oracle Customer Care and Billing system throughout the duration of the project. The position will be located downtown, initially at the Downtown Technology Village, working directly with the CIS Replacement Project Team. After implementation this position will reside in the ITS Applications CIS Support group and provide ongoing support for the new system.

General Purpose

Responsible for leading specific IT team efforts during the project and perform as a liaison between the Project Managers, System Integrator (SI), Functional Teams, and Change Management Team.

Responsible for development, documentation, design and testing of required modifications, interfaces, conversions and reports for Oracle’s Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Customer Information System

Creating and verifying specifications, mapping and testing of configuration and conversion scripts.

Demonstrates leadership and team characteristics.

Archival process of historical data.

Provides post-implementation support for Oracle’s CC&B in the ITS Applications CIS Support area.

Work as part of a large cross-functional system implementation team.

Develop, execute and coordinate proper tests to assure system requirements and data integrity are met according to operational and regulatory standards.

Analyzes, creates, re-engineers, implements and continuously improves processes utilizing available technologies to ensure operational and regulatory standards are met, data interfaces are effective, and data integrity is not compromised.

Provides technical analysis, programming and support to enable business objectives, including: software design, development, modification, problem resolution and short-term planning in order to meet business objectives.

Analyze, design and recommend process solutions for the company.

Responsible for design, requirement analysis, installation, documentation, trouble shooting and monitoring of computer systems.

Provides training and support to internal staff in the productive use of computer systems.

Required Skills

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in any of the following: information technology, computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering or another related field of study.

Required Experience

This position requires over 4 years job related experience working with information systems, programming and system analysis.

Provide occasional after-hours support.

Oracle JDeveloper

OAF (Oracle Application Framework)

Web Applications (HTML, JSF, JSP, Java Script)

Data Warehousing

Oracle XML Publisher

Oracle SQL Developer

Microsoft Access

Working knowledge of:


Standard MS Office Applications

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts

Functional and technical knowledge/experience in Customer Information Systems.
