The Brokerage Technology Services (BTS) Operate team owns the responsibility of ensuring the availability of the Production, Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments for any user that leverages the technology of Broker Dealer (BDS), JPMS and Chase Wealth Management (CWM) business. The team has defined a 24/7 support system that has been the guardian of the production environment and an essential component in stabilizing the QA and UAT environments. The team has four primary disciplines: Availability Management, Infrastructure Management, Incident Management and Continual Service Improvement. As a Deployment Lead, you will be Accountable for release and deployment functions within BTS, JPMS and CWM lines of business. Also Change Management, Incident and Problem management reporting and analysis, creation and maintenance of Service Level Agreements, management communication, and client relationship management with assigned application areas, and/or coordination of multiple staff involved in internal/external customer file transmission implementations. Responsible for coaching and mentoring junior team members as well as overall team management responsibilities. Also responsible for leading the timely resolution of client impacting technology incidents and researching/understanding the direct & root cause of incidents. Daily responsibilities include; Deployment management, release management, coordination and communications during critical release weekends, problem management, production communications, and production environment continuous improvement, resiliency and stability efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Executes complex independent problem solving. Demonstrates technology and team leadership. Designs, implements, and communicates solutions with minimal supervision. Facilitates business calls for high severity incidents. Requires experience or understanding of multiple programming languages and systems as well as system design and project management methodology. Must have experience in production support role. Provides daily production support to operation staff. Performs production data patching as quick fix for production problem. Follow-ups all kinds of production problem in night batch, with internal and external parties. Analysis the root cause of production problem. Designs & implement temporary and permanent solution for fixing production problem. Answers user inquiry. Plans and implements infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Coordinates UAT testing and production change activity. Supports yearly business continuity testing activity.
Requires 10 years of IT work experience with 7 years focused on weblogic administration. Knowledge on BEA(now oracle) Weblogic server ver. 8 or ver. 9. Domain creation in Weblogic Server. Writing start/stop/maintenance scripts for Weblogic Server. Non-console mode Deployment experience in Weblogic Server. Clustering in Weblogic Server. Apache Configuration, proxy configuration. Weblogic server performance fine tuning. JVM performance Fine tuning. Writing UNIX shell scripts. Familiar with all the UNIX shell commands. WLST scripting. Clustering apache/tomcat. Apache httpd/tomcat Tuning. Working Knowledge on Linux(Redhat/Suse). Working knowledge of any Source Code control. Strong background on UNIX or Linux platforms and Client Server applications deployment. Proficient application integration. Proficient infrastructure product knowledge. Proficient technical problem resolution. Proficient communication. Proficient problem management skill. Optional skills (will be considered as PLUS) are; OS tuning. Working knowledge on Subversion, Load balancers and Firewalls. Bachelors Degree in computer science or information technology. Must be willing to work in a variable shift environment - 6 AM - 3PM & 1 PM - 10 PM. Weekend on-call rotation will be required as well..
