Ethicon Puerto Rico LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a Capacity Planner for the facility located in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.

Located in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, the Ethicon, LLC manufacturing facility hosts over 1,000 associates dedicated to produce world-class medical devices to safely and effectively meet the needs of patients from all continents. Ethicon LLC, develops and markets products within three divisions: Ethicon Products for precise wound closure and tissue repair, Ethicon Women's Health & Urology for minimally invasive women's health procedures, and Johnson & Johnson Wound Management for hemostasis and advanced wound care.

The Capacity Planner has the responsibility of monitor planned vs. actual outputs, set-up temporary design changes, ensure production not schedule over major preventive maintenance. In addition provides guidance for optimal PM timing. Responsible for analyzing Consumption Trigger Report (CTR), determining production quantities, managing local events, and short term planning and trending actual demand Vs designed demand. Key support in resolving line balancing issues and local events, also serves as a communication conduct. Participated and support Integrated Production teams for manufacturing line (s). Determines need for overtime and transmits information to Manufacturing Managers. Responsible for managing re-introduction of material on-hold and salvage. Key contact with supply planning to manage events and receive CTR factor information if necessary. Responsible for communicating transfer requirements for Affiliate and Domestic locations for products. Trend analysis for future demand in areas of strarts/transfers. Monitor raw material supplies from other locations as they pertain to production needs for Cornelia, i.e., needle blanks and meshes. Participate in and support the PLT's. Manage material requirements for product conversions and transfers. Works as liaison between San Lorenzo manufacturing, and domestic and affiliate ship locations. Support inventory accuracy objectives of 97% by supporting cycle counting process. Provide information for scorecard reports. Work with event planner to manage events. Responsible to analyze and resolve with Manufacturing Manager any short term capacity planning. Determine weekly capacity constraints. Responsible of the master scheduling assigned raw materials. Dosimetric Audit and Bioburden Audit sampling program coordinator. Ensure safe working conditions and practices in department.


A minimum of Bachelor's Degree is required. Business Administration, Engineering and/or Operation Management will be preferred. A Master's Degree is preferred. A minimum of one (1) years of experience in the manufacturing and/or medical device is required. Supervisory experience will be preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects in a changing environment while still meeting deadlines and working under pressure is required. Proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Power Point) is preferred. Demonstrate leadership ability, self-starter, decisive, self-motivated, and desire to work in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to anticipate and communicate impact of changes. Fully bilingual (English & Spanish) is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to influence all levels throughout the company. Physical requirements of the position include a significant mental effort. Basically, calculate, coordinate, detect, evaluate, influence, interview, negotiate, read, discipline, recruit and document. Availability to travel ten percent (10%) of the time within and outside North America is required.
