DCHS RECRUITER - POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the DCHS Director of Recruitment the DCHS Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment (including but not limited to Clinical and Allied Health positions) at their assigned Local Health Ministry (St. Francis Medical Center, Lynwood, California), coordinating the hiring process, being proactive in the sourcing of candidates, screening, interviews, travel arrangements and offer generation process. Also, participates in career and job fairs; partners with nursing schools and colleges.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive)
DCHS Recruiter will conduct full-cycle recruitment duties involving; candidate generation, client management (hospital managers / directors), strong candidate management, conduct telephone & face to face interviews, perform all necessary administrative duties and own the process with professionalism and integrity.
Works closely with recruitment team: Recruitment Director, LHM Recruiters and VP of Human Resources, proving to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently.
Prepares and verifies all outstanding information needed for the new hire files and packages from applicants via phone and mail to ensure compliance in the hiring process (references, I-9s, verification of employment history, background checks, application completion, among other items).
Conducts reference checks, verification of employment of candidates.
Ensures workflow process and New Hire Checklist is completed.
Creates Excel spreadsheets and held accountable for progress and special projects, tracking, maintaining information current in ATS.
Performs Cold Calling, Internet Mining on Job Board websites and other Internet and other techniques as an experienced recruiter with self-initiative.
Work closely with Nursing Schools and colleges for New Grad Program.
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, and HR Certification (PHR) preferred. Three or more years of nursing/healthcare recruitment experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. Strong background in sourcing of candidates and behavioral interviewing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Strong aptitude and/or experience with HRIS computer software and applicant tracking systems. Proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Project. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Able to facilitate interdisciplinary team decision-making, and to manage complex projects. Maintain confidentially at all times. Ability to communicate (in written and oral form) effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups. Strong service orientation and must be able and willing to travel if required.
This is a system level position (under Daughters of Charity Health System; Los Altos Hills, California). The position will be based at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California.
