Responsible for supporting accounting, compliance, financial reporting and analysis activities.
Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.
Support monthly close activities and financial reporting consolidation
Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities.
Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.
Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
Review and research accounting transactions for functional.
Support the preparation of annual plan and operating budgets for rum distillation and warehousing operations.
Support the preparation of the monthly KPI and financial reporting for site and support plant management team.
Monthly analysis of overhead cost and material cost variances
Ensure that the correct controls and governance is in place to meet CARM and Risk standards.
Track construction costs for new projects and support team.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finanance, or Business required.
MBA, CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5-6 years related experience.
Strong PC and systems expertise and understanding of GAAP.
SAP knowledge preferred
Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.
Strong research and analysis skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.
Distillation and/or Brewing or operations experience is a plus.
