Description

Processes patient accounts, billing payors, government agencies, patients and responsible parties, securing and providing information and resolving discrepancies regarding accounts.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of (2) year general office experience and/or equivalent education or job related activates is required. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of state specific Medicaid programs, billing regulation, requirements and related billing forms are required. Must be able to communicate affectively with strong attention to details and problem solving. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Knowledge of general office procedures is required. Ability to operate common computer systems and business software is desired. Must be emptionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: One year of office/billing experience in a medical setting is preferred. Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology strongly desired. Communication skills are a must/plus, incumbent must be able to perform basic accounting skills, experience with computer, billing system, and be able to work independently.
