This position supports the mission, vision and philosophy of CHI and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center.

2. List two to five specific tasks or duties the position performs on a regular basis.
a. Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers and shielding. Knows how to use portable X-Ray machines and c-arms.
b. Able to write up all patient paperwork. Able to schedule all patient exams and give proper preps.
c. Able to perform all ultrasound exams within scope of practice.
d. Keeps ultrasound department current with AIUM, ICAVL and JCAHO standards.
f. Able to use CR Reader. Correctly perform necessary image manipulation. Erase CR cassettes. Send images from CR reader to PACS.
g. Able to access PACS; review studies and perform basic functions for image manipulation. Resolve QA issues and close studies as reviewed. Burn CD’s. Transfer images. Print from PACS.
3. Other duties as assigned.
4. Assists director in other related duties as required and assigned.
Must be ARRT registered or ARRT eligible. Must pass registry with 12 months of hire.
ARDMS registered within 18 months of hire.
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Experience with portable x-ray machines, C-arms and fixed x-ray machines.
Computer education or experience.
Previous ultrasound experience helpful not required.
