Classification: Benefit Eligible

Duties: The Executive Director will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Universities Cooperation Education Program. The Executive Director will create, manage, implement and assess a comprehensive program tailored to meet the needs of students. This position reports directly to the Dean of Academic Affairs and serves on the Academic Cabinet. Other essential duties will include: providing strategic planning and vision necessary to advance excellence in teaching; advance student achievement and program innovation through an on-going assessment plan and program review; individual will promote an entrepreneurial spirit with development of new employer partnerships and programs; assure that Cooperative Education employers are supported and engaged in student learning planning and on-going review of employer relationships; recommend appointment and review of faculty liaisons with division chairs and program directors; oversees hiring, supervision, evaluation of academic support staff; prepare and administer program budget; work with the senior administration to implement the strategic plan through resource allocation and alignment; fosters cooperative relationships within the College, University, and other institutions; work with Grants Office, faculty and staff of the college and employment partners to develop external funding opportunities which support the development and growth of Cooperative Education.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree
Experience : Minimally, three years of experience leading an established, comprehensive Cooperative Education with a strong record of college administrative leadership and program development and implementation.
Specific Skills: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the faculty; evidence of fostering productive relationships with the professional community; positive experience with ethnically and culturally diverse faculty and students; demonstrated success in grant writing and/or fundraising.
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, and Certifications : N/A
Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable): Support staff assigned to the Cooperative Education Program.
