Responsible for the provision of direct patient care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties include direct patient care as well as indirect patient services such as documentation, ordering, family training, rounds, and interaction with the interdisciplinary team.
Assists Physical Therapist in performing data collection, formulation of treatment plans, and in implementing and conducting a treatment plan.
Completes documentation responsibilities as identified within the PT department.
Formulates an effective working relationship with all health care team members, patients, and their significant-others.
Responds effectively to legal, patient rights, safety, maintenance, and emergency situations.
Participates in continuing education, staff development, and performs self-directed learning.
Participates in supervision of new staff, aides, students and volunteers as requested.
Performs related duties as required.
High school education or GED equivalent.
