Twelve month course of study to become proficient and capable to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered under the supervision of a radiologist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Performs ultrasound studies: abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics/gynecology, small parts, neonatal, vascular, and endocavity after having completed and passed off exams.
Able to send studies, notes, etc, through the use of PACS.
Correlate clinical history with the test to be performed.
Provides Imaging Services, while supervised, to patients of all ages, including maternal, neonate, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Provides radiation safety to self, patients, and co-workers.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
ARRT/Graduate of a 2 year allied health, patient care related program and are registered/certified/licensed in that field. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
