Roles and Responsibilities:
Under direction, analyze, test, and support interfaces between Unisys legacy applications and CSD Enterprise software solutions to include telnet, secure FTP, terminal emulation, security product interfaces, tape management, and print distribution solutions used in the SMC Unisys Legacy sites.
Provide life-cycle management functions for all Unisys mainframe systems associated with the virtual and cartridge tape library systems. Responsible for all Linux software releases for the Virtual Tape Library (VTL) basic software, the VTL Agent software, VTL patch releases and all VTL releases that modify Linux operating systems software for the purpose of correcting security vulnerabilities that are identified by Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA).
Analyze existing and new products used in the DECCS, to develop standards and/or recommended configurations for product implementation and administration. Identify and analyze products that the Executive Software and other providers are planning to introduce into the DECC Unisys operation environment. Provide Level III technical support for the Air Force, Navy, and DFAS Unisys implementations of the database management systems, transaction processing environments, tape management, print distribution, security, and file transfer products and utilities.
Demonstrated experience providing support for Unisys mainframe systems.
Strong test and evaluation skills a must. Experience with Linux operating system is preferred.
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related work experience.
DoD Secret clearance required.
