Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Six or more years of experience in a client-server environment
Experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance
Experience working with company products and services
Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures
Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes
Other Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications

Must possess knowledge of Solaris and Red Hat Operating Systems including the following:
Red Hat ES / AS (5.x and 6.x)
Solaris (10 and 11)
Symantec (Veritas) Volume Manager 5.x/6.x,
Symantec (Veritas) NetBackup 6.X / 7.X,
SAMBA, WINBIND, NFS
Scripting ~ Perl, Bourne Shell, Korn Shell,
MS Applications (Visio, Word and Excel)
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills coupled with a strong interest in
Systems and Network management to include, but not limited to the following:
Red Hat and Solaris systems administration experience
OS troubleshooting and patching
OS installation, upgrades, maintenance
Performance tuning and Capacity Planning
Experience in mentoring and training other LINUX/UNIX system administrators
Experience in dealing successfully with business partners, customers, peers, management, and vendors
LINUX/UNIX security architecture and administration
Ability to capture knowledge and document it using organized methodologies.
Experience developing, communicating, and implementing projects of any scope.
Additional knowledge in the following areas is a plus
Load balancing methodologies
Understanding of firewall technologies
Familiarity with SSL & SSL acceleration
Experience managing DNS (building zones, etc)
