The Senior Vice President will manage a portion of NBCUniversal Cable’s Entertainment Ad Sales portfolio with teams in the company’s New York office. He/She will be responsible for achieving short- and long-term advertising revenue goals and strategic objectives for the company.
• Create and execute revenue sales strategy for dedicated brand and product lines
• Ensure that employees work and sell with integrity and uphold network’s sales standards, set goals/budgets and communicate expectations for performance
• Responsible for driving sales (upfront & scatter), achieving all targets across individual & collective properties, developing sales go-to-market strategy, & maximizing rev. opportunities through inventory management
• Establish and maintain strong relationships at high levels of influencers across agencies and clients
• Identify new accounts and categories for revenue growth; generate leads, and secure advertising agreements
• Track actual and projected sales deals to develop quarterly and annual performance forecasts and manage reporting systems to effectively analyze year-over-year and quarter-to-quarter pacing and performance tracking
• Work with and incorporate data from programming, research, and finance departments to develop annual sales budgets, determine pricing & packaging, manage & control inventory, oversee the development of special sales promotions, sponsorships, contests, and other vehicles to secure revenue
• Manage day-to-day client/account interaction, including brand partners, media partners, agencies, corporations and other funding entities, production companies, or producers
• Provide positive and effective leadership. Recruit, develop, and coach sales talent in order to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth. Effectively communicate the division’s vision and goals (both financial and qualitative) to the sales team and ensure that they understand and are motivated to achieve them. Encourage cohesive partnerships between the direct sales teams and other internal resources (Client Solutions, Inventory Management, Sales Analytics)
• Work collaboratively with Client Solutions to drive integrated sales programs that focus on client needs and network priorities, to maximize the leverage and variety of offerings across all platforms. Establish and maintain a culture of consultative selling at all levels
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in ad sales industry
• Seasoned sales executive with a proven track record of generating revenue in traditional media, as well as in sponsorship, branded entertainment, and online or other digital ventures

• Exceptional leadership and management skills with training, managing, teaching, and optimizing sales skills and sales process
• Ability to communicate vision and strategy effectively with senior management, staff, and external parties
• Proven track-recording in overachieving set revenue targets
