The Opportunity:
Jana is looking for talented full-stack web developers with experience in rapid prototyping to help create experimental new features and demos.
The Responsibilities:
Take features from ideas to reality in short periods of time with minimum specification
Communicate successful development to full team for scalable implementation
Create front-end code usable by both full- and mobile-browsers
Utilize web services to interact with backend processes
Use A/B testing to optimize feature design
Be a go-to person for rapid feature creation
General Requirements:
Passion for web software development
Ability to participate in prototype process, from brainstorm all the way to implementation
Experience with all parts of web development: from data storage issues to UX problems
Familiarity with python & related tools
Interest in interacting with people from other cultures – users of our platform all live in the developing world
Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirements:
2+ years software development
Experience across the entire open-source stack
UI / UX implementation, web design
Experience with python web framework such as django or flask
Demonstratable analytic ability
Bonus:
Experience with mobile web
Experience with Facebook API
Experience with NoSQL data stores
Deep familiarity with an emerging market country
