WELDER needed for sheet metal fabrication. Job shop, precision work, close tolerances, short runs. Primarily TIG welding however knowledge and mastery of MIG, flux-core arc, plasma arc, brazing, and soldering processes are necessary.General Responsibilities include: Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Ensure strict conformance of pieces to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Job requires high tolerance, precision work. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including finishing work. Continually communicate with supervisor regarding status of job and problems encountered.
Work Environment: Use of personal protective equipment such as welding helmet, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves are mandatory. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be indoors, regularly working near moving mechanical parts, and be subject to strict quality controls. Time and attendance of critical important to team work flow. Qualifications:This job requires at least 5 years welding experience. Vocational, Technical, or High School education or its equivalent required.Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds. Must have own hand tools. This position is full-time, days.
