Job Overview:
microDATA is looking for fast paced and flexible individuals who are skilled in enterprise applications relating to VOIP and SIP. The candidates will have a qualified background in enterprise application development. The Senior Software Developers at microDATA are leaders and mentors with superior programming/systems experience in the 9-1-1 industry or equivalent. Their primary responsibility is to develop 9-1-1 software from beginning to end by handling all aspects of the process, which may include leading a team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Understanding of 9-1-1 or Enterprise Telephony
  • Development background in .NET is a plus
  • Understanding of SQL Server
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Multithreaded and real-time application development experience
  • Working knowledge of TELCO fundamentals, including digital and analog trunks
  • CTI Experience is a plus
  • Experience working with Dialogic API is a plus
  • C++ background is a plus
Ability to work with SIP and VoIP A Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Computer Science or a related field 5 or more years developing software in the 9-1-1 or technology industry Knowledge of .NET, SQL Server and ADO.NET

Responsibilities :
Develop 9-1-1 software Utilize .NET, SQL Server 2005/2008, ADO.NET Provide Telephony & VoIP expertise Understand 9-1-1 or Enterprise Telephony Troubleshoot complex problems Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, and as a member of each project team. You may act as a project team lead and/or mentor. Participate on, and provide leadership (technical or project) to project team, clarifying the business requirements, performing systems analysis, development and modification activities, as well as related maintenance & support. Responsible for writing technical specifications. Provide design recommendations, developing applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements & interfaces. Translate the business and technical requirements into 9-1-1 applications. Develop & modify complex software systems using disciplined software development processes. Test and lead implementation of application modules, reinforcing the use of QA principles and processes, from multiple systems that have been developed or modified. Develop & execute test plans, test scenarios, test scripts and/or workflow usage. Provide direction in evaluating system integration design to ensure that the proposed solution has considered extensibility, scalability, performance, cost-effectiveness, usability, re-use, and that management is robust and proven industry principles have been considered when developing the application.
