In accordance with the needs of the ages of the population served by KKI, the Administrative Services Coordinator , Medical Staff Services provides general and specific administrative and clerical functions to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the department.
Prepare in draft and final copy all Agenda and Minutes for the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff and the Organized Medical Staff correspondence. Distribute draft copies to the Committee Secretary with draft of minutes for review within four working days following each meeting. Prepare a final copy of minutes for official record.
Respond to incoming requests for Medical Staff Services, determining which requests require immediate or routine attention and by whom in the most efficient and effective manner.
Maintain attendance record databases for various Medical Staff Committees.
Responsible for tracking all facets of the Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) for newly appointed members and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) for current members of the Medical Staff. Provide quarterly FPPE and OPPE summary reports.
Develop and maintain confidential and secure filing systems for Medical Staff “Read Only” materials.
Prepare draft charts, graphs, and forms and assist with special projects as assigned.
Answer phones, direct calls, take messages, and return calls to answer inquires/questions, for the Manager, Medical Staff Services and Credentialing Specialists.
Provide clerical support to the Medical Staff Office and the Medical Staff Services, as deemed appropriate by the Manager.
Maintain Kennedy Krieger Institute Seminars in Developmental Medicine Database.
Provide schedule coordination for the Manager, as necessary or as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree preferred
- Two years’ experience performing administrative support tasks preferably in a medical, clinical or educational setting.
- College degree in related field may be considered as substitute for experience.
