The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will have responsibility for building and maintaining technical relationships and influencing technical direction for a major US cable operator customer. The TAM will work in conjunction with the assigned Account Director to maximize the company's sales efforts, project engagement and results. The TAM should have a thorough understanding of North American cable infrastructure and broad video security methodologies for HFC and IP delivery. The TAM will build and maintain relationships with the customers’ technical organizations at a decision-making and decision-influencing level. The TAM will report to Irdeto’s North American Director of Account Management with a dotted line to the Account Director.

Duties:
Maintain consistent contact and develop personal and professional relationships with customers’ technical contacts

Work with the customer's engineering/technical personnel to position Irdeto products and services as solutions to the customer's evolving technology roadmap;

Contribute and/or drive proposal development and delivery with Irdeto Pre-Sales;

Communicate the customer requirements and direction to the key internal Irdeto stakeholders in collaboration with the Account Director

Contribute to the development of Account Plans, together with the assigned Sales owner, to ensure Irdeto is focused on the right areas of the customers’ business

Liaise closely with the assigned Sales owner so that new sales opportunities can be discovered and exploited

Build and document knowledge about the clients’ architecture, infrastructure and business goals

Provide demo sessions of Irdeto’s technology, products and solutions

This position requires a self-starter needing little day-to-day supervision.

Required Skills

Ability to build, manage and maintain personal and influential relationships

Technical understanding of the North American cable infrastructure with emphasis on securing video content

Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner

Ability to communicate with all levels of management

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to be detail oriented

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Ability to work and perform outside of HQ

Knowledge of cable, high-speed, Internet a huge plus

Knowledge of media metrics

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years of DigitalTV experience with a specialization in North American cable and/or video security

Experience in both commercial and technical aspects of DigitalTV as either an operator or vendor

Experience in management customer relationships and project delivery

Relevant Under Graduate or Post Graduate qualifications advantageous
