Then ViaSat would like to describe you as our newest Inside Sales Representative, supporting our domestic and international sales teams and customers with information about product and service offerings. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to understand technology products and services, so channel those skills in this role by direct support of customer inquiries as initiated through the ViaSat website via the “inside sales” email system and/ or the Sales “hot line” or through targeted marketing campaigns in support of the Sales organization. You may be providing quotations, receiving purchase orders, or re-directing the customer to another area within the company for support. Your strong customer service skills will be utilized daily to process and forecast quotes and follow up with the customer to insure we have complete information that results in an accurate purchase order. You will spend a significant amount of time "pro-actively" up-selling to existing customers by monitoring warranty compliance, identify and communicate renewals for warranty and enhancing awareness of customers regarding new products and services in support of the ViaSat brand. As you produce quotes and process orders for various products and business areas, you will utilize your customer service and sales background to determine up selling opportunities and you will present these opportunities to the customer during the quoting/order process. As a key link to customers, the intelligence you gather will serve to expand the business by providing Account Managers with leads, potential service, product upgrades, and other information relative to the status of customer plans and activities.
3+ years experience interfacing with customers or having worked within a sales and/or marketing organization is critical.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
This position requires you to be able to support the above mentioned activities primarily during East Coast business hours but may be required to support West Coast business hours as needed.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Up to 10% Travel.
Knowledge of Sales Force or another CRM tool.
Experience working with Oracle and Oracle Sales On-Line.
US Secret Clearance.
