Position: Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, tenure track.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited institution with an emphasis in educational administration, leadership, organizational behavior, educational research or a closely related field of study. Candidate must qualify to serve on Graduate Faculty. We invite applicants with experience as a K-12 administrator; knowledge and/or experience in organizational change; management of educational organizations; school improvement and reform; and a commitment to interactive/ field-based work. The ability and experience in leading and/or serving on dissertations and research competence in either qualitative or quantitative methods is a plus.
Major Responsibilities: Teaching primarily doctoral level coursework in educational leadership (may include teaching in Masters or undergraduate program as needed) and advising students through the dissertation process; producing research consistent with the program mission; providing service to the department, college, university, and community; being actively involved with the joint Ed. D. in Educational Leadership with Southeastern Louisiana University and working with colleagues in program planning and expansion.
Administrative Unit: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a publicly supported university and has an enrollment of approximately 16,500 students. The university is located in Lafayette, Louisiana in the heart of Acadiana. It consists of eight undergraduate/graduate degree granting colleges, and offers 29 Masters and 9 doctorates. The College of Education consists of four academic departments in the disciplines of Educational Foundations and Leadership, Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction and the School of Kinesiology.
Our Educational Leadership Program is undergoing an exciting period of growth. A colleague who is enthusiastic about preparing and training educational leaders for challenges of the new millennium is sought. This person will have the opportunity to assist in extending the planning of the advanced leadership program while establishing the program's distinctive reputation. Work on dissertation committees a priority.
Salary: Tenure-track position with the salary being competitive and commensurate with rank, experience, and qualifications.
