Provides individualized, direct nursing care of assigned patients under the direction of a registered nurse, midlevel provider or physician. The LPN assists in data collection and implementation of the delivery of health care
services. Assists other members of the healthcare team in providing the highest quality personalized patient care. Maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team. Demonstrates the ability to provide care and service with individuals of all assigned age groups.
Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner's "Expectations" as duties are performed on a daily basis.
A. Education, Experience & Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing, with current Louisiana licensure.
Ambulatory care experience preferred. .
B. Other Qualifications:
CPR Healthcare Provider certification. Shift flexibility. Ability to work under pressure and set priorities. Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Attends pertinent continuing education ofFerings. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Mandatory: Knowledge of testing procedures and patient instructions.
Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Knowledge of irifection control practices.
