Performs specialized administrative duties in the FP/STD/HIV program and the WIC program in the Marion County Health Department. Meets and greets the public for services, maintains medical records according to Agency Records Management procedures. Screens clients for eligibility, issues food instruments, enters information into the Agency's data systems, maintains reports and follow up per FP, STD, WIC and Agency guidelines. Prepares records for certification and nutrition encounters. Ensures proper billing and follows the McBee Private Pay system; receives/invoices private pay monies accurately according to policy.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A high school diploma and three (3) years experience in a professional office setting or an associate degree in secretarial science or related field and two (2) years experience in a professional office setting. Must have previous experience in Medical Records or medical office setting. Must have data entry skills and keyboarding ability and knowledge of various software programs is helpful. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members and the general public. Customer service skills are a must,. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with constant interruptions. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to operate personally owned or state owned vehicle.
Must be able to work as a team member and independently when needed. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to plan work for the day. Must have the ability to demonstrate appropriate written and oral communication skills. Must have a positive work history. Application must be accurate and complete.
