The Acoustic Lead Engineer / Technologist will work with internal and external stakeholders, leadership staff, and acoustic teams to provide acoustic assessment of overall system and component noise and identifies viable methods of noise reduction. The Acoustic Lead Engineer / Technologist will function in a dynamic team environment supporting and leading colleagues in program leadership, test planning and execution, data reduction, empirical and computational noise prediction, and customer liai

Essential Responsibilities
The Acoustic Lead Engineer / Technologist will:
  • Execute acoustic analysis, design, test, and integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies and systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Advance computational fluids, physics-based noise analysis and prediction capabilities, and noise measurement techniques
  • Provide technical and program guidance
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years acoustic measurement and analysis experience
