This is a high-profile Finance Manager role that provides direct support to the Controller, Global Human Resources. The Finance Manger provides financial leadership and support of the $400 million Benefits portfolio, $100M Executive Compensation (MIP) and $24M operating budgets. The position plays an integral role in preparing analysis and presentations for the EVP Human Resources and Corporate Controller and occasionally the CEO and CFO.
In addition to interaction with HR leaders, Corporate Planning & Analysis and Corporate Accounting, the Finance Manager also works with division and regional finance contacts.
Financial Analysis and Planning functions (forecast, close, Mid Year and Annual Plan)
Support functional leaders (Compensation, Benefits, Staffing and Talent Development) in the following areas:
Provide financial analysis – facilitate understanding of cost drivers and future performance, results, risks & opportunities.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance metrics, tools, reporting and presentations.
Lead the monthly forecast process (Benefits, MIP, SG&A and Integration reporting)
Support the Mid Year Outlook and Annual Plan process
Support the MIP process with grid model development, consolidation of accruals, exception management model and year end payout coordination.
Support Global headcount reporting and work with HR to develop appropriate classification and standards to align with financial reporting
Business case – develop for HR investments
Complete Capital Authorization Requests templates (CAR’s)
Support post implementation reviews
Analysis & Process Improvement
Conduct accounting, financial analysis and project support in such areas as benefits, management incentive planning and integration projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
7 + Years of Financial Analysis experience including Financial Planning & Analysis (CP&A)
MBA and/or CPA
Advanced systems skills (Access, HFM, PowerSteering, Lync)
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Able to translate financial requirements to non-financial audience.
Ability to interact with multiple levels of management and business partners.
Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex business environment.
Must be self-motivated. Both detail and process oriented
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
