Perform a lead role in the elicitation of requirements for new applications / product development from the Product organization. Team with the Product Manager and/or Delivery Manager to gather, analyze, and communicate business and functional requirements for new application development in support of business objectives. Serve as a liaison between IT, Operations and the business line to analyze business and user needs and document detailed requirements. Act as the liaison and facilitator of communications regarding business requirements between multiple teams within the organization and ensure the business requirements reflect the long-term goals of the organization.
Research and document project and/or product requirements.
For Traditional projects, provide recommended Business Requirements and Functional Specifications based on the stated business need and knowledge of the services and systems deployed at Early Warning Services.
For Agile projects, facilitate the creation of User Stories, their Acceptance Criteria, Assumptions and initial Point estimates, based on the stated business need and knowledge of the services and systems deployed at Early Warning Services.
Manage Requirements or User Stories throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure project/product requirements are well defined and easily understood by all stakeholders.
Confirm that final results meet documented requirements.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and User Stories.
Work closely with IT, product, and sales if necessary to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Ensure that the nature and extent of the business needs and project requirements are understood by all project participants.
Act as the liaison and facilitator of communications between Product and other operational and functional groups as relates to Business Requirements and User Stories.
Act as the subject matter expert on assigned applications or infrastructure.
Keep up-to-date with technical as well as industry developments in Fraud and Risk Management arena.
May perform other duties as required.
Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) certification desired
Five years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a software development lifecycle.
Five years experience in financial institutions and/or environments that handle large data stores.
Six-Sigma or ITIL process experience desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills to be used to interact proficiently with all levels of management and staff.
Strong inter-personal skills.
Effective time management skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
Self-directed and self motivated.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Approved background and drug screen is required.
