The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Counseling. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This position provides leadership for the Department of Counseling which is one of five units in the College of Education and also carries out faculty responsibilities that support the continuing demand for courses in mental health; maintains the quality of education delivered; satisfies CACREP accreditation standards; provides community and university service and carries out an agenda of research and creative activity. More specifically, the chairperson has primary responsibility for setting course schedules, faculty evaluation, completion and submission of reports for CACREP/COE/NDE and others as required, leading course revision and program changes, teaching, recruiting and marketing, advising and serving as liaison to the campus community; and serve as a faculty member in the Counseling Department. Additional Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology or closely related field; Eligible for Nebraska licensed mental health practitioner and/or school counseling certification; Counseling and administrative experience; Evidence of or potential for research/creative activity.
