The Medical Records Support Associate will perform a variety of duties associated with maintaining client medical records in accordance with Aspire policies and procedures, in addition to ensuring they meet the requirements of accrediting bodies (Joint Commission, etc.), HIPAA and billing standards. This position will assist the Correspondence Clerk with preparing paperwork requests by printing and/or copying from the medical record, log Releases of Information (ROI), scan documentation in a timely manner, file charts and/or documentation, as necessary, sort and distribute internal mail, data entry of signed treatment plans and HAP letters into MIX, provide services to clinical and administrative staff in terms of locating required paper records or information in paper records, monitor maintain and comply with medical records system by preparing new charts following established guidelines, ensure terminated client's paper records are processed, assist with preparing, sending and/or receiving charts from off-site storage, complete monthly First Aid Kit inventory. Desirable Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent At least one (1) year experience in an office setting; previous medical records experience a plus, but not required Computer data entry skills Minimum of 35 wpm typing skills Excellent organizational skills
