Position Summary
The Oracle Systems Analyst III is a specialist in the analysis of complex business problems, providing technical expertise in in identifying, evaluating and determining appropriate systems solutions. This position works directly with end-user groups to establish business and system processes, to ensure efficient usage of systems, and to participate in the implementation of new systems and processes. They will also provide user support and troubleshooting, input on business requirements, system and process enhancement support and documentation. This position typically does not involve hands-on programming, but focuses on the analysis, definition, logical design and testing of hardware/software solutions.
Responsibilities
Providing support and maintenance of the Oracle Financial modules for the F5 Accounting and Finance teams.
Provide leadership and system expertise during upgrade to R12
Works with users to understand their application requirements, design, document, and deploy solutions, configurations and enhancements that meet F5 business needs.
Works with the development team to implement system solutions.
Supports business needs for system processing and availability; provide clear and timely communication to users. Troubleshoots application issues.
Interprets complex requirements; design, document and deploy integrated solutions, reporting solutions and data warehousing solutions.
Plans, coordinates and executes unit, integration and user acceptance testing. Creates systems implementation, rollout, and user adoption plans – this may include internal and external users.
Manages relationships with external service providers, as needed.
Qualifications
6+ years experience working with Oracle financials as a Systems Analyst.
Specific experience with the following modules: GL, AP, AR
Preferred experience with FA, PO, OM, OKS, INV or Cash Management
Understanding of Oracle base tables and ability to perform ad hoc queries.
Experience working with Oracle support to resolve issues.
Experience upgrading from 11i to R12 preferred.
Excellent communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, and organizational skills.
Proficient work experience in business analysis, systems analysis, process modeling, and data modeling skills
Current technology skills.
BS/BA or equivalent work experiences
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, and may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
