The primary objectives of the People Support Team are: (1) to create and deliver programs and processes that will help attract, motivate, develop, and retain top performers at all levels of the organization, (2) support restaurant crew, managers, and operations staff so they can focus on running great restaurants; and (3) bring Chipotle’s People Culture to life through innovation and creativity.

The HR Reporting & Analytics Manager oversees the process of reporting people data including compensation, turnover, hiring, terminations, promotions, training, and transfers as well as for required government reporting. He/she is also responsible for the administration of annual merit and bonus plans. The Manager works with People Support leadership to identify reporting objectives, capabilities, and schedules; and develops strategies to ensure those are met. He/she supervises and manages HR Reporting Analyst(s).

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consulting with People Support leadership to determine type, scope, and purpose of analysis and reporting
  • Overseeing the collection, analysis, interpretation, and distribution of HRIS data used for periodic reporting
  • Ensuring that required government reports are prepared and filed in an accurate and timely manner (e.g., EEO and state reporting)
  • Providing analytical and research support for special assignments and projects as needed
  • Interpreting data trends and making recommendations based on these trends
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the compensation tool by testing and implementing changes along with preparing and managing the tool components for all compensation programs
  • Coordinating and administering bonus programs
  • Coordinating and administering performance and merit review processes
  • Partnering with HRIS to capture and provide accurate data that aligns with Chipotle philosophy and business strategies
  • Assisting People Support leadership in the development and implementation of data reporting objectives, capabilities, and schedules
The ideal candidate will


  • Have a B.A./B.S in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, with five (5) to seven (7) years relevant work experience; or an equivalent in education and experience
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to use HRIS systems
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability not only to understand data, but to effectively translate data and information as well
  • Be technologically savvy
  • Have experience managing compensation processes and/or subordinates
  • Have expert skill using Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Enjoy problem-solving and taking on challenges
  • Be a quick learner who can work well independently
  • Believe that clear communication, organization, and timeliness are essential
  • Have excellent attention to detail along with strong proofreading skills
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Access, and Acrobat Adobe software
  • Be a strong written and/or verbal communicator
  • Enjoy making presentations
  • Maintain confidences
  • Have the ability to travel minimally
