Under minimal supervision, facilitates and supervises the work of individuals who are responsible for the planning, administrative, implementation and/or maintenance of the technology systems in the department.
Education
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited
College of Pharmacy
Experience
1-3
years progressive pharmacy automation experience.
Skills
·
Advanced knowledge of drug nomenclature, including generic-trade names, different types of packaging and units of issue. (Meditech experience desired.)
·
Advanced knowledge of standards of pharmacy practice in acute care institutions
·
Skill in using computer and a variety of personal productivity applications
·
Skill in data analysis and interpretation and how it can relate to department.
·
Skill in motivating and developing staff.
·
Skill in oral and written communications
·
Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to resolve issues, especially when related to Pharmacy/Nursing
·
Ability to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines
·
Ability to determine training needed for ensuring competency
·
Performs duties of clinical pharmacist as required
·
Performs other duties as requested
