Center Manager at the Seattle Tacoma International Airport
The position will provide high quality and compassionate programs and services to service personnel and their families within a financially responsible environment.
Ensure internal/external resources are used to maintain supplies needed to provide services to customers. Maintain weekly inventory of all supplies and replenish as necessary.
Provide daily leadership and manage all volunteers, to include recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition. Maintain staffing levels sufficient to provide high level of service. Maintain volunteer contact database and
accurate records of volunteer time.
Maintain recognition program to highlight the achievements of volunteers significantly contributing to positive morale and higher productivity rates.
Ensure a smooth transition into the organization and promote
desired behavioral standards that significantly contribute to a positive work environment
and exceptional customer services.
Ensure sound facility and practices, policies, and procedures are in place. Ensure facility and volunteers meet or exceed required health and safety standards through use of a weekly evaluation system, training, and maintaining required documentation for
Maintain appropriate staff and administrative records as well as computer databases for facility statistics and provide monthly reports. Track client information and program participation statistics to include preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
When applicable, ensure that the USO Center interfaces and coordinates with the activities of airport leadership and appropriate airport related organizations. Direct maintenance of the facility with airport leadership.
Plan and execute programs and activities. Evaluate program service using the USO Standards of Excellence evaluation program.
Forecast monthly financial needs while staying within an annual budget and using sound processes to ensure accountability of funds and monetary or in-kind donations. Develop financial resources through budget planning, local support, fundraising, etc.
as appropriate. Conduct regular financial monitoring, analysis, and recordkeeping.
Liaison with civilian and military agencies promoting and supporting organizational programs, special projects, and achievements.
Establish and maintain contact with each armed forces senior enlisted military and their commands in order to be informed of changes in military movements and service needs.
Implement USO Programs such as Families of the Fallen as necessary.

five years related experience in nonprofit environment.
Poised, positive, and personable demeanor in handling multiple tasks while being people oriented and organization dedicated.
Exemplary evaluation, prioritization and organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Should possess supervisory, mid-management leadership experience.
Must have at a minimum, a basic understanding of America’s military structure and be comfortable working with military personnel. (Should be able to read and understand rank insignia, military titles, etc.).
Must be able to speak before audiences about USO activities and be comfortable requesting funds and donations.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office 2000, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and experienced in navigating Web based programs).
Basic financial accounting knowledge.
Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
