Frequently interfaces with Tier 2, field team members, Engineering, other NOC (Network Operations Center) technicians and all service vendors. Provides guidance to others and performs escalation procedures in a timely manner. Provides and documents in-depth analysis to isolate and resolve customer affecting issues.
Review of Methods of procedure, creating MOPS and execution of MOPS.
Identifies, researches, and develops process improvements and recommends them to management for implementation and assists junior technicians in doing the same. Uses in-depth knowledge to provide input on process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities. Provides recommendations in the development of standard operating procedures
Advanced understanding of Operations and Maintenance
procedures and Advanced Troubleshooting techniques across multiple platforms.
Advanced understanding of system protocols and interfaces that are used within a IP network.
Functional Technical Skills
4+ years experience in configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Ethernet, ATM, MPLS, in a primarily Cisco environment.
Knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent IP platforms desired
Knowledge of Data networking with the ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks through to completion and thrive in a complex environment.
Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
