Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff)

Maintains and enhances the organization's
human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee
relations and human resources policies, programs, and
Maintains the work structure by updating job
requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Maintains organization staff by establishing
a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers
on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews;
Prepares employees for assignments by
establishing and conducting orientation and training programs with
support from the Northern NV Training
Ensures that payroll information is
distributed to assigned Payroll Specialist and reviews payroll
preview file in advance of processing. Maintains a pay plan schedule and grade
assignments. Prepares HR
department budget in conjunction with GM.
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal
of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline
employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing
and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and
supervisors. Reviews and
approves employee performance reviews via the Employee Performance
Management (EPM) system.
Maintains employee benefits programs and
informs employees of benefits.
Enters benefit enrollment and deductions. Processes monthly
benefits bills on a timely basis with support from HR Representative.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and
implementing applicable human resource federal and state
requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records;
representing the organization at hearings.
Guides managers on compliance with human
resource policies and procedures.
Maintains historical human resource records
by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing
related results as needed.
Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is
considered an essential function of the job.
Effectively works with Corporate and casino
management, employees and co-workers.
Collaborates with the General Manager and
Corporate Director of HR regarding processes and
Demonstrates the ability to enhance the
working relations of other employees and
Provides consistent and effective
communications skills with employees, supervisors and management

Supervises Human Resources Representative. Delegates duties as

Education or Formal Training:
Consideration given to a 4 year degree in HR or Business
