In this role, you will be accountable for:
The Distribution Cooler operational performance of your assigned shift.
Technical troubleshooting requiring in-depth data gathering and analytics
Deliver Safety, Productivity, Efficiency, Cost, Quality, Customer service, Motivation and Sustainability objectives (SCQDMN) through both individual and team efforts.
Provide leadership, direction, development and support to the cooler team through a various methodologies.
A presence on the shop floor and frequent cooler and industrial line tours, short interval management for other work areas/cells, effective problem solving techniques.
Area/zone results, gaps, open actions, key operational targets and standards, and continuously working with your manager and team to drive improvement in these areas.
Study manufacturing production and shipping schedules, identify gaps and risks while collaborating with the manager and peers to balance work schedule.
Troubleshoot faults conditions and other Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) related outages to ensure operation runs with minimal downtime.
Lead shipping and receiving, dock scheduling, labor assignment, and customer and intercompany shipping activities on shift.
Enforce Company and Bargaining Unit policies in accordance with Dannon Employee Handbook and Bargaining Unit Contract, and provide consistent and fair administration of company policies.
Verify and Maintain proper inventory accuracy to meet Deployment and Customer Service needs.
Maintain records for all outbound and inbound receipts per documented processes; coordinate personnel to ship and receive all product and supplies per documented procedures.
Maintaining a working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) processes, RF scanning equipment, and Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS).
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, support operators through their coaching and development.
Manage shift employees to ensure compliance to all SOP’s, QAR’s, Plant Rules and ISO Standards, including non-conformance management.
Support the maintenance and continual improvement of all Company Standard programs related to Food Safety, Quality, Compliance, Employee Safety (ISO, AIB, WISE, HACCP)
Maintain time and attendance processing records utilizing the ADP payroll system on a daily/weekly basis.
Promote a positive team atmosphere and champion involvement of all employees.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science), or a minimum 3-5 years of business related experience in lieu of college degree.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Programming and SQL experience a plus
Dairy or Perishable foods experience a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities is a must.
Material handling equipment (forklifts, conveyance) experience and technical understanding.
Must possess demonstrated planning, communication and supervisory skills.
Shift flexibility where weekends, nights, and holidays may be required.
Experience with AS/RS preferred.
