The Regional Sales Director position is responsible for providing sales leadership to drive sales, margin, and profit performance of Outside Sales and Specialty Sales for their assigned region. The Outside Sales businesses include the Project Specialist-Exteriors, Project Specialist-Interiors, and Area Commercial Account Specialist positions and the businesses they support. Specialty Sales includes Commercial Sales, Installed Sales, Special Order Sales, and Credit Sales. As a sales leader, the RSD will work with store and field management and CSC Specialty Sales teams (i.e., Outside Sales, CBC, Installed Sales, and Project & Event/Credit Sales) to achieve both region and company established goals for the Outside & Specialty Sales areas.

This position is also responsible for helping direct the company’s enterprise efforts to transform into a leading multi-channel home improvement company. This may require sponsoring and leading special initiatives and projects including training and implementation. This role leads, trains, and supports the Outside selling teams as well as supports Market Directors and Store Managers in the implementation, execution, and ownership of Outside and Specialty Sales programs.

Position Reports Directly to: Vice President of Store Operations with dotted line to Vice President of Outside Sales

Position Requirements:
•Lowe’s Store Manager currently “on the bench” for Market Director position or minimum of 2 years Lowe’s Market Director experience OR a minimum of 10 years of Sales Management experience in a similar competitive environment
•Proven ability to lead, influence, and manage a successful sales organization in a cross functional business environment
•Proven experience and results directing, motivating, and leading Outside sales reps
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proven ability to work effectively across organizations
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
•Ability to travel an average of three to four nights per week
