Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering functions for electrical and controls, including design, process development and support, product introduction, project management, development of strategic plans and general support and team participation.

Provide controls knowledge and project management to support the design, build and installation of machines, systems, and toolings associated with the manufacturing processes. Projects could include traceability, data collection and reporting, process programming, fixturing, part assembly or functional/quality testing.

Demonstrate cross-functional project management skills and give input to and development of strategic and capital plans.

Preparation of project justification including recommendations, build vs. buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities.

Product introduction process with respect to cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development and prototype manufacture.

General manufacturing support to review production problems. Document, update, implement and train to improve operations. Work with a cross section of various other departments such as Safety, Quality and others to improve operations.

Develop reports, project briefings, and management presentations.

Qualifications:
Four year engineering degree and five years experience in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year degree and ten years experience in a manufacturing environment. Controls background and experience required. Technical skills required may include PLC, CNC motion controllers, vision systems, machining centers, robotics, machine tooling, CAD layout, process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC). Must have good communication, computer, and organizational skills.
