Corrugator Supervisor - Cincinnati (Blue Ash), Ohio

The primary role of a Corrugator Production Supervisor is to ensure the work place is safe and to manage and coordinate the efforts of hourly employees; ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality; ensure compliance with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with team members to provide a safe work environment. Make recommendations to improve safety, environmental and health of the entire facility.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Assure conformance of work in progress and finished goods product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
Direct, train and coach shift employees.
Maintain department shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
Direct and execute daily production requirements.
Maintain waste generation at or below budgeted standard.
Inspect the finished product to ensure quality specifications are met.
Management of manufacturing employees to include performance reviews, hiring, and discipline.
Ensure all production reporting is completed timely and accurately for each shift.
Participate and ensure department is compliant with industry audit standards.
Education and Related Work Experience
Five to seven years of supervisory experience in a supervisory or management role.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Packaging industry experience (paperboard and/or corrugated) preferred.
Significant prior work experience preferably in a union free corrugated manufacturing plant.
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, utilize appropriate safety equipment and effectively address and resolve unsafe conditions
