General Summary

The HOUSE Human Resources Coordinator provides dedicated support to the HOUSE Division in its daily operations. The areas of support include, but are not limited to, administration of employment processes and new hire paperwork, facilitating employee on-boarding activities and new hire orientation, support and coordination of HOUSE staffing efforts and liaising with LAIKA’s Compensation and Benefits Analyst, HR Specialist, Recruiting Team and Payroll Manager to ensure HOUSE compliance in all areas.

Essential Job Functions

Provide general HR assistance to HOUSE employees and HR support for HOUSE studio management.

Facilitate and assist with preparation and collection of employee paperwork, partnering with HR Specialist and Recruiting Coordinator as necessary.

Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities and new hire orientation meetings.

Field day-to-day Benefits inquiries and facilitate paperwork (such a Workers’ Comp, Leaves of Absence, Separation, etc.) in coordination with Benefits Analyst.

Assist with scheduling employee information meetings such as annual Benefit Open Enrollment, Education and Training meetings.

Support HOUSE Department Managers in identifying and tracking ongoing hiring needs, preparing job descriptions, posting online job openings (internal/external/third party recruiting sites), reviewing resumes and tracking candidate activity.

Coordinate interviewing and hiring processes, screen candidates and conduct reference checks.

Coordinate candidate travel arrangements, hotel arrangements and in-office interview schedules.

Responsible for maintaining HOUSE Freelance Talent database and networking for new talent.

Facilitate HOUSE Intern Program and talent outreach, including coordination of HOUSE representation during school visits and industry conferences, travel arrangements and accommodations. Partner with HOUSE Brand Manager and recruiting team to provide recruiting materials.

Represent HOUSE on the Safety Committee and participate in Soul Corps and Gang Green initiatives.

Provide support for Employee Event planning and implementation.

Other duties as assigned.

Relevant college courses and/or 2+ years of related work experience.

Familiarity or basic understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations.

Desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of human resources.

Effective administrative and office skills.

Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail and accuracy.

Proven time management and organizational skills.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Experience handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Strong customer service and problem solving skills.

Familiarity with HR/Payroll systems a plus (i.e. Red Carpet, Ceridian, etc.).

Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Qualifications
