PRIMARY FUNCTIONS : Under limited supervision of the Senior Planner Scheduler, this position is responsible for maintaining the site maintenance schedule and supporting the Associate Planner Scheduler(s) with the planning and estimating of jobs from a facilities operations and services perspective.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to learn or perform these essential duties and responsibilities:
Ensure accurate job constraints are identified and planned, and that the plant maintains an integrated Production and Facilities schedule. Responsible for leveling Maintenance labor demand against available work center capacity and ensuring that all constraints for the job event and the schedule are accounted for (customer requirements, materials, labor, and time). Obtain buy-in from stakeholders impacted by upcoming maintenance and/or calibrations events, working closely with the Manufacturing Coordinators and other site area representatives (e.g., Site Engineering). Assume the responsibilities of the Senior Planner Scheduler during his/her absence, fulfilling all job duties, including the development and distribution of the weekly Maintenance Schedule and direction of the Associate Planner Scheduler(s). Develop a comprehensive scope of maintenance work needed to conduct the repair, upgrade and/or modification of Site assets while remaining fully compliant with all applicable regulatory agency requirements and Roche policies and procedures. Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work, which includes estimation of craft resources and hours; necessary parts and equipment; outside services; etc. Collaborate with Maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes. Support execution of Maintenance/Engineering job plans/projects Continually improve planning and the development of standard work procedures and documentation to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency. Assist with sustaining reliability-based maintenance methodologies, based on a preventive and predictive maintenance strategy. Duties include:
Plan maintenance & repairs for equipment and instruments in accordance with all all cGMP, OSHA, and Environmental regulations and Roche internal standards, procedures, and approved business process documentation. Plan and schedule all work in a manner that achieves continuous, optimal operation of facilities and equipment with minimal unplanned downtime. Assist Senior Planner Scheduler with scheduling both routine and non-routine maintenance activities. Support other Associate Schedulers with complex work notification conversions. Back up Senior Planner Scheduler and Associate Planner Scheduler(s) as needed (requires continual cross training). Support technical Supervisors with the troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems and components. Assist in the development and update of documented procedures for Planning and Scheduling processes. Ensure CMMS database is accurate and up to date and includes task BOM’s, maintenance plans, and scheduling dates. Develop CMMS asset records, PM schedules, and maintenance parts data. Develop and integrate innovative work order processing solutions that lead to overall efficiencies in the Facilities Operations and Services department. Perform other duties as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Acceptable:
High school diploma or equivalent high school or equivalent with 6-8 years in planning/scheduling in electrical and/or instrument disciplines in a highly-regulated, manufacturing environment . Ability to work on multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Effective oral and written communications, demonstrated leadership, customer service focus, and technical and organizational skills. Must possess an engrained commitment to regulatory compliance as it applies to product quality, personnel safety and the environment.

Preferred:
All skills as described above, and additionally: AS Degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of Planning and Scheduling with a background in instrumentation Experience with SAP CMMS in cGMP applications.

Special Training or Competence : Intermediate knowledge of SAP, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent project management software, experience in planning/scheduling work orders, ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, vendor manuals, etc.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS: CPMM (Certified Plant Maintenance Manager) , CPIM ( Certified in Production and Inventory Management ) certification preferred, but not required.
