The Linux Systems Administrator (Junior) will be responsible for assisting in the general system administration of a large scale infrastructure, using our internally created tools and a variety of industry standard Open Source tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision and guidance of Sr. Systems Administrators; maintain our systems/server environment(s)
  • Respond to and resolve issues that are assigned to the Systems Administration team in the ticketing system
  • Document the resolution of issues within ticket system and, in unusual situations, in the Wiki knowledge base
  • Deploy and provision new servers and server instances for use in the server fabric
  • Perform day to day Linux Systems Administration function such as Cron job updates, RPM and package maintenance
  • Be the first line of defense on issue tickets that come in; solve/research issues, triage and filter more complex issues to Senior Administrators
  • Write-up/execute Change Control Requests and Procedures
  • Keep communications flowing

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with Linux System Administration experience is a must
  • Experience with high volume web servers
  • Experience with RAID
  • Proficiency with cron
  • Experience with Configuration Management systems
  • Experience with NAS/SAN solutions, specifically NetApps
  • Experience with high volume mail servers
  • Experience with Systems and Network monitoring/alerting
  • Experience with Kickstart or Jumpstart maintenance or implementation
  • Experience with maintaining DNS
  • Working knowledge of Load Balancing concepts
  • Working knowledge of Caching concepts
  • Working Knowledge of NFS and CIFS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
  • High degree of honesty and integrity
  • Team-player, positive attitude and flexible
  • Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US within three days of employment
  • Must be comfortable with adult content
  • Must be at least 21 years old
