The Site Coordinator reports to the Area Manager and is the first- tier of business leadership responsible day-to-day operations at their assigned campus. The Site Coordinator is responsible for supervision and direction of Program Aides. This position will interact with personnel at the assigned campus, such as Teachers and Administration to ensure that goals of the Extended Learning Time program are met.
Role and Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Essential functions of this position include:
Monitor and evaluate Program Aide performance and identify development opportunities, and, if necessary, recommend progressive disciplinary action up to and including termination of Program Aides.
May lead team meetings with Program Aides. Required to attend any meetings scheduled by Area or Regional management staff.
Maintain Extended Learning Time tutoring program before, during or after school at assigned campus.
Set-up and take-down of all student learning tools and materials before and after tutoring sessions.
Distribution of before or after school snacks (if program is held outside of normal school hours).
Meet with local staff to pick up supplies such as student snacks, learning tools, etc.
Supervise and support Program Aide and students.
Maintain on-going and effective collaboration with school staff.
Control program costs by meeting inventory, manpower, and food cost budgets.
Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act.
Track distribution of learning tools to the student/user and ensure all documentation is properly completed.
Model appropriate behaviors and values, including adhering to Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Posses sensitivity to social, economic and cultural diversity.
1 or more years of supervisory experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience managing inventory.
BA/BS in Management, Computers, or Education (preferred)
Excellent problem solving abilities: The ability to read complex policies and procedures, interpret implications and apply to specific situations. Must be detail-oriented, meticulous and thorough with well developed critical evaluation skills.
Excellent communication skills: The ability to listen to internal and external stakeholders, understand the needs being expressed and respond appropriately, whether verbally or through written media.
Multi-tasking: The ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing requirements. Track and document task completion. Ability to reprioritization "on the fly" is critical to success in this role.
This position requires strong computer skills, including word processing, spread sheets, e-mail.
Background check: Because we provide services to students, all employees and contractors who may have direct contact with children are required to complete a fingerprint-based background check. As a result, Read and Succeed, LLC/Tutors with Computers LLC will have access to national Criminal History Record Information (CHRI), including arrests nationwide. It is important that any information that may be included in CHRI be disclosed during the interview/pre-hire process.
Safe driving record: Driving record may not include more than three moving violations within a seven year period.
This position will work at an assigned school in the NYC City Public School System. Work will occur in the class room before, during or after school. This position may involve partnership with New York City School Staff. The Site Coordinator may be required to travel throughout the New York City area to pick up learning tools, snacks, etc.
