Cummins Power South is the official distributor for Cummins in Georgia, Florida, and the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. We provide diesel and alternative-fueled engines and power generation systems as well as sales, parts, service, and engineered solutions. About the opportunity:
Currently, we are recruiting for a Marketing Coordinator for our Corporate Office in Atlanta. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing Cummins Power South’s marketing strategy, which includes advertising, sales promotions, shows and memberships. This position will also participate in the development of strategy; planning and budgeting to support business objectives for all markets; and developing ads for specific markets.

Core Responsibilities: Manage all marketing efforts. Coordinate all advertising, including publications, directories, direct mail, and billboards. Manage co-op advertising funds and leverage to the maximum benefit of Cummins Power South. Process purchase orders, invoices, and co-op submissions, as well as documentation, spending tracking, and archiving. Support sales efforts through: Developing sales collateral and dealer support materials and programs; Coordinating sponsorships, customer events, open houses and factory representatives’ efforts; Managing memberships and support; developing, purchasing and optimizing branded items; Developing, managing, and coordinating displays; and Managing all content on internet site www.CumminsPowerSouth.com ; Manage electronic messaging, customer area plan-o-grams, and posters supporting promotions. Support all internal communications, including monthly internal publication: CPS Update; company intranet (CPSNet); and any internal initiatives (i.e. Safety, 6 Sigma, CSE, etc). Manage Power South wearables website. Support all re-branding work; police the “brand”. Responsible for all online disaster communications for employees and customers. Develop and maintain customer databases, which include customer mailing lists (RV, Marine, Automotive, Industrial, Power Generation, etc) and dealer mailing lists. Lead marketing research for territory demographics, growth opportunities, and sales analysis.

Requirements: Basic web developing skills and general IT knowledge (database management, HTML, etc). Basic photo editing skills Ability to successfully manage multiple projects. Ability to work across the company and interface with business leaders as needed. Creativity Ability to communicate and relate with diverse personalities Effective written and verbal communications skills Professional appearance, grooming and dress consistent with desired corporate image. Able to travel as needed to perform training at customer, dealer, and Cummins Power South locations (travel estimated at 10%).

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years marketing experience required. Marketing/Advertising background, with proven ability to develop professional advertising materials, and write/edit copy. Experience with various software programs, such MS Office 2007, Abobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe InDesign CS4, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS4.
