Reporting to Director of Physical Therapy, the Site Manager has responsibility for overseeing departmental operations in accomplishment of PT department and DMG goals. The site Manager ensures work is accomplished in accordance with DMG policies and external government laws and regulations. Seeks opportunities to improve operations and is an active member of the broader DMG management team.
Collaborates with colleagues & Director on accomplishing department goals: financial targets, quality/patient satisfaction targets. Keeps physicians informed on progress toward goal accomplishment. Communicates with director organizational initiatives, policies, and assists them in interpretation and working within organizational parameters.
Organizes/budgets resources (people, equipment, materials) to deliver effective patient care. Reviews Practice site goals and arranges work to accomplish goals. Develops short range targets as indicators toward reaching goals.
Reviews financial and patient outcomes and assures outcomes fall within acceptable pre-determined limits. Trends data and investigates outliers to determine if action is warranted for correction and prevention.
Plans for acquisition, alignment, and engagement of human resources through selection, on-boarding, coaching, appraisal, and development. Seeks to create an environment with emphasis on team work in accomplishing the mission and goals of the department and DMG. Appropriately seeks guidance in assistance with human resource concerns.
Assesses the patient experience through various methodologies of collecting information from patients. Tracks complaints and responds to address complaints in a timely manner. Works toward recovering and ensuring the needs of patients are met. Appropriately educates the patient on DMG policies in order to enhance and prevent misunderstandings. Brings issues forward to Directors for resolutions that are based in organizational systems.
Member of the Management Team, representing their Practice to other DMG management associates. May participate in Ad Hoc or Standing Committees. Representative of DMG in the community at large.
Evaluates, plans and implements physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries or diseases of the muscular, skeletal, nervous or connective-tissue systems in order to improve or restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties.
Education and/or Experience: B.S. ,M.S. or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; Currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Illinois; 3 years or more experience in outpatient physical therapy & strong clinical skills in orthopedics are desirable.
Prefer a minimum of two or three years in a managerial role in a health care setting preferably in an outpatient physician primary or specialty practice.
