Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams on multiple advanced Driveline programs to ensure appropriate APQP and Quality-related GPMS process steps and proactive quality tools are being properly and thoroughly executed on a timely basis.
— Oversees and leads cross functional teams through the development of Process Flow Diagrams, Process Control Plans, and Design and Process FME
— Ensures APQP and Quality-related GPMS process steps are being properly and thoroughly executed by program teams
— Ensures identification of key product and process characteristics and deploy necessary controls to ensure specifications are met in production
— Identifies and ensures best process and product practices are used across similar processes and products
— Works with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues
— Functions as a liaison between internal engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to resolve launch quality issues prior to launch of new product (ensure mature quality at launch)
— Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949)
— Track and maintain data analysis of key metrics and performance data as it relates to APQP and GPMS process steps
— Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
— Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge and Education:
— Strong leader with effective written and verbal communication skills who will drive processes and resolve issues
— Minimum five (5) years of work experience required in Manufacturing/Quality environment
— Business or Technical Bachelor degree required
— High level of analytical ability; comprehensive understanding of Advanced Quality Planning and PPAP processes
— Strong quality mindset with working knowledge of statistical process control and process capability statistics
— Demonstrated problem solving skills: i.e., 5 Why Analysis, Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of GD&T
— Solid understanding of assembly and machining processes
— Project management skills
— Ability to work with others in a team environment
— Ability to travel domestically and internationally
