      The Enterprise and Mission Solutions Business Unit has a job opening for a Systems and Database Administrator 2 for the MSSD Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) program. Work is primarily performed on Washington D.C.
      Active Top Secret clearance required

      Roles & Responsibilities:
      The Systems and Database Administrator will be responsible maintaining the system, insure that backups are preformed and interface with the customer daily. Frequently works with other members of a project team. Monitor system servers and associated hardware to ensure system integrity is maintained. Perform duties as Point of Contact (POC) and Help Desk Specialist. To interacts frequently with senior management and customers. Implement security measures to prevent access to system by unauthorized individuals. Communicate and coordinate with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.


      Basic Qualifications:
      • Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to be considered
      • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience OR an Associate‚Äôs Degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a High School degree with 10 years of relevant experience
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
      • Experience with Unix and/or Solaris 10 Operating System
      • Experience facilitating communications between a technical staff and a community of users.
      Customer Orientation skills required: Listens to customers, ensures commitments are met, sets appropriate customer expectations, and effectively responds to customer needs.

      Strong Communication skills required: Promotes active listening with team members; Contributes appropriately to conversations; accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.

      Problem Solving skills: Understands how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects; Improves upon existing approaches.

      Interpersonal Skills: Effectively and productively engages with others and establishes trust, credibility, and confidence with others.

      Documentation: Will need to produce new documents for all processes performed by the system.

      Desired Skills/Experience:
      Experience with PBUSE is preferred.
      Experience with the following software and applications is preferred: Solaris ZFS, Oracle 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure (RAC and ASM), Oracle 11gR2 Enterprise Database Server, Tomcat or other Sun/Oracle web application servers, Sun Fire mid-frame and entry-level Ultra SPARC servers, and Sun StorEdge.

      Active TS/SCI highly preferred
