The Content Marketing Manager (CMM) will develop the content and social media marketing strategy for our B2B and B2C audiences. The content to be created will be primarily for digital mediums and will include deliverables such as the content for the corporate and participant blog, white papers, webinars, web articles, videos, sell sheets, brochures, interactive lessons, web pages, mobile content, and landing pages. The CMM will be also responsible for social media marketing strategy and will manage a team of two content writers and one social media coordinator.
The ideal candidate will be skilled and passionate about creating compelling and engaging content to support Alere Wellbeing’s brands, B2B lead generation, lead nurturing, and participant engagement. You will be expected to be the content marketing and social media expert for the company– generating innovative ideas and managing your team to produce high quality, high performing deliverables. You should be comfortable working closely with marketing managers, sales teams, and product managers to translate ideas and concepts into effective strategies and deliverables to achieve business goals. You must develop a solid understanding of our offerings, the profiles of our audiences, and deliver value for all projects.
Responsibilities and duties:
Manage a small team to develop new content based on business goals, user needs, internal customer requirements, and available distribution channels.
Write outlines, adhere to production schedules, submit material for review cycles, and assist with post-launch metrics measurement.
Handle multiple content projects, priorities, and workload while remaining focused on quality and deadlines.
Optimize legacy content.
Lead and manage content planning and management processes across departments.
Work effectively as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
At least three to five years of experience executing content strategy in a B2B and/or B2C organization.
Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of content marketing and social media marketing.
Experience with a marketing automation platform.
Experience working with and supporting a sales organization.
Ability to grasp and quickly ramp up knowledge of new concepts.
Highly creative; quick-thinking; energetic and inspiring; a problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
Self-motivated, organized, and functions well without too much guidance.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Exceptional management and leadership skills.
Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.
Experience or personal interest in health and wellness content preferred.
