OVERALL PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
Under consultative direction, this position plans, organizes, and controls the video lottery terminal central system product line throughout the entire product life cycle (in accordance with dept/organizational objectives). This position is responsible for optimizing product profit potential in a manner that is consistent with marketing, financial, technical and corporate growth objectives. In addition, this position will also be responsible for ensuring that all organizations, from development to sales, are executing in line with product vision and direction. This position is frequently looked upon to develop innovative principles and ideas using advanced principles, theories and concepts related to product marketing. This position has budgetary responsibility.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop product vision and roadmap and creates of overall product strategy, research and development requirements.
Write and validate marketing requirements and manages change control.
Provide support through demo instruction, and functional demonstrations or direct staff to do same.
Define need for market research and competitive intelligence focused on specific topics/needs/clients/competitors or price points.
Monitor/review customers and their implementations; will have a high level of direct customer contact.
Assess how well the product (as well as competitive offerings) address issues of the prospect/customer both within the context of current directions & deals, and in the abstract business sense, currently, in the near term, and under the long term plan.
Proposes, prioritizes, and justifies all investments in internal development or external development/alliances/technologies, from the highest levels down to the line item feature requirements.
Guide projects in development from requirements to completion, mediate discrepancies and re-prioritize throughout the development cycle.
Lead and manage other project management staff. May hire, fire and determine salary actions for individuals within the dept that report to the position.
Collaborate with others in product pricing and or licensing agreements terms and conditions internationally applicable.
Manages progress of product development through PMO and Development Partners.
Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
Conducts market analysis to develop product definitions and/or works with Market Research to identify markets, segments, and channels. May delegate this to other staff reporting to the position.
Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product.
Drive marketing to develop sales training materials and collateral.
Collaborates with other higher level individuals within Systems Architecture, Development, Content Management, Business Development and Sales in the preparation of product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product.
Responsible for Product Life Cycle across functional areas within SPIELO INTERNATIONAL; identifies full life cycle costs.
Participates in key sales situations for the product and influence Marketing with respect to licensing, pricing, packaging and launch.
Must be well informed of business development activities and motivated to align these activities with Product Development.

10+ years product management experience in the IT industry, including 5 years in a management position
Worldwide/international experience a must.
Superb writing, presentation and communication skills.
Must have a deep understanding (and be willing to participate) in all phases of the software, communications and/or hardware development life cycle.
Self-directed and self-motivated individual with the ability to lead and influence others from peers to executives, customers and partners.
Must possess leadership and strong negotiation skills.
Highly flexible and diplomatic.
Tremendous communication, organizational and client skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to closure in a fast paced environment.
Able to manage competing priorities.
Ability to understand technical concepts and evaluate tradeoffs, must be able to learn basic technical concepts quickly.
